Five Best Cafes In Thane For Post-Lockdown Evenings

Best Cafes In Thane - Cafe Amigos

Considered by many to be a poor cousin of the happening and dazzling Mumbai, Thane with its quiet charm is actually host to a lot of amazing eateries and cafes perfect for families and friends. Having spent the majority of my post lockdown time exploring the streets of my Thane neighborhood on foot, I bring to you 5 of my favourite cafes in Thane. Go explore only once it is safe to do so!!

Cafe Amigos

This cozy little cafe decked with fairy lights is sure to steal your heart away. Not to forget the mouthwatering dishes on the menu. The comic book themed menu takes you through the journey of how two friends came up with the idea of starting this cafe. Personal touches are always welcome 🙂

Pro-Tip: Make sure to grab a table in their outdoor seating area. Don’t forget to try their Pink Pasta, Mushroom Bruschetta, Jalapeno Cheese Balls, Sulaimani Chai and Mocktails.

D’Crepes Cafe

Next on my list is a must visit in Thane; known for its savoury and sweet crepes, D’Crepes Cafe is perfect for those winter evenings you want to chill at a cozy cafe over a scrumptious meal.

Pro-Tip: Don’t forget to try their Mexican Crepe and Apple Crepe. While you are at it do try their Hot Chocolate to go with it!!

Bombay Bakehouse & Kitchen

Probably the most instagram worthy cafe in Thane, this pretty little cafe comes with a rustic ambience, mouthwatering food and courteous staff.

Pro-Tip: Don’t forget to click pictures for the gram. This place has some great backdrops. Also do try their Siracha Grilled Prawns, Fish and Chips, Lasagna and Cappucino 😃

Theobroma

Well Theobroma needs no introduction. A forever favourite of Mumbaikars, I was super glad to find this iconic outlet in Thane. Needless to say, this is one of the most frequented joints out here.

Pro-Tip: My favourite picks would be their Non-Veg Quiche, Butter Croissant and New York Cheesecake.

Ketley Brews & Bites

A little hard to locate on a relatively obscure street, this cafe is perfect for those who want to avoid crowds. In short, perfect for the current era. The food is reasonably priced and the ambience is quirky and bohemian with board games and books to be enjoyed along with the food.

Pro-Tip: Do try their Zaffran Chai and Pizza.
